Growing up in a family of hairstylists it seemed quite natural for me to do the same. When I was a little girl all of the women in the house would spend time on weekends beautifying ourselves. We shared laughter, tears and stories while reinforcing beauty, strength, and love. As a salon owner, it’s important to me that all of my clients feel as if they’ve walked into my grandmothers’ kitchen back in the day.

The Beauty Boutique concept by Nilijah Williams was conceived out of the desire to be able to provide gorgeous hair without sacrificing hair health.

By the time I was 16 years old I was doing hair regularly and it became my main source of income. It wasn’t until I turned 24 that I attended beauty school. After graduating from beauty school, I made it a point of working in salons with hair artists who I admired greatly for their various skills and talents. I attribute my talents and success to many of the great hairstylists I’ve been blessed to experience in the early days of my career.
I always knew that owning my own salon was the ultimate goal.
I mustered up the courage to go back to college in my early thirties and received my degree in business administration at Berkeley College. Being a mother of three and finding the strength and focus to continue my studies wasn’t easy but, after graduating I decided to dive into my dream.
May 10, 2010 I opened my own salon. My journey from first opening until now has been quite interesting. Full of ups and downs, victories and failures alike, but my experiences have added to every brick of my salon. Clients will leave the salon feeling beautiful and empowered at the same time.

Nilijah Williams started doing hair at the age of 16 and started beauty school at 24 years old. While working with some of the top hair professionals, Nilijah went to Berkeley College and graduated with a degree in Business Administration in her early 30’s.
On May 10, 2010, The Beauty Boutique launched in Brooklyn, New York. Over the past decade, Nilijah has served hundreds of clients and expanded her team with the best talents in the area.

Hi, I’m Orlando I am your friendly neighborhood wig slayer. I specialize in hair extensions, custom wigs, and hair coloring. My favorites to do in the salon are custom colors and wig making. I grew up in the salon as my mom is a hairstylist also, so I have literally spent most of my life in the salon with my mom.
Natasha Gayle is a healthcare industry professional with over 10 years of leadership experience in clinic, customer service, and business operations. As a New York State licensed esthetician and dermatologist trained in skincare theory, she is the owner of Mirror Mirror Skin Lab which specializes in health-related skin issues, acne, hyperpigmentation, and anti-aging.
